MANILA, Philippines – The FEU Lady Tamaraws are moving closer to a sweep of the eliminations Friday after dumping UP Lady Maroons, 48-31, in 75th UAAP women’s basketball tournament at the San Juan Arena.

The Adamson Lady Falcons, meanwhile, tightened their grip of second place with an 81-73 victory over the winless UE Lady Warriors.

But the Lady Falcons (8-2) might bid adieu to the twice-to-beat edge in the final four if the Lady Tamaraws (10-0) wrap up the eliminations without a loss, which means an outright spot to the semis.

The La Salle Lady Archers edged their rival, the Ateneo Lady Eagles, 48-45, to take a huge advantage in the standings with a 7-3 record.

The UST Tigresses are tied with the Lady Eagles in the standings with 4-6 after nosing out a 74-73 win over the NU Lady Bulldogs, who dropped to 6-4.
