MANILA, Philippines—Notable Philippine football figure Stephan Schrock has his eyes set on a better season with the Alabang South Supers for the upcoming 2025 season of the AIA 7’s Football League.

Coming up just a tad short last season, Schrock is eyeing the big one for Alabang for the upcoming tournament of the country’s seven-a-side football league.

“This year, we’re going for the crown in 7s. We’ve prepared for the past four weeks already. The captains and head coaches are there and the team is coming around,” said the former Azkals mainstay in a press conference presented by Skechers on Tuesday in Mandaluyong.

“We have a big squad with so much potential to win in this league and to everyone and all the other teams in this league, watch out.”

Last season, Schrock’s South Supers went as far as the league’s Finals only to fall short to the Pampanga Strikers.

“I did not receive it as falling short. I think, for the short period of time that we had to prepare for that tournament in this league, we didn’t lose any job in finishing second,” he said.

However, it will be a different landscape in the 7s Football League as Alabang would be needing more wins than they did last year with the addition of four more teams.

While a Finals rematch with Pampanga would be on their radars the South Supers will also have to topple new teams Biñan, Bulacan, Carmona and Cavite.

Not to mention that Alabang would also compete with 7s mainstays Siniloan, Parañaque, Bonifacio Global City, and Pasig.
