La Salle fives score in SBP, Passerelle
MANILA, Philippines—La Salle Green Hills Team A led the winners in the Small Basketeers of the Philippines while De La Salle Zobel dominated its Passerelle foe in the Milo-sponsored SBP-Passerelle NCR tournament.
LSGH-A trounced Don Bosco Makati, 49-20 to pace Group A; San Beda Alabang whipped Marist-B, 52-44, in Group B; San Beda Rizal tamed Chiang Kai Shek, 75-53, in Group C; and De La Salle Zobel-A dominated St. Anthony, 57-31, and Marist-A beat St. Mary’s College, 51-36, in Group D.
In the Passerelle division, DLSZ-A downed Don Bosco Makati 59-43; Ateneo bested Marist, 70-46; and Xavier-A blasted St. Anthony, 78-46; in Group A.
In Group B, Kid’s World Academy beat DLSZ-B, 52-48; and in Group C action, UST stopped Claret, 57-46; Notre Dame pounced on Xavier-B, 78-60; and San Beda Rizal-B dumped St. Paul, 75-52.
The NCR championship is set Sept. 16 at Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City, the Visayas finals on Oct. 20 and 21 in Iloilo and the Luzon finals on Nov. 3 and 4 in Pampanga.
