JUVIC Pagunsan rallied with a 3-under-par 69 for a 214 total and joined a big logjam for 38th place after three rounds of the $1.9 million Canon Open of the Japan Golf Tour in Kanagawa.
The Filipino ace, the reigning Asian Tour Order of Merit champion, trailed third-round leader Yuta Ikeda of Japan by 12 strokes after posting earlier scores of 70-75 at the Totsuka Country Club. Ikeda had a 54-hole total of 202 on rounds of 66-68-68.
Meanwhile, Angelo Que carded a 75 for 216 and dropped among the tailenders after 54 holes of the $750,000 CJ Invitational hosted by KJ Choi in South Korea.
Que shot a 68 in the first round before adding a 73. At 3-over for three rounds, Que stood in a tie for 57th place.
Mars Pucay, who made the 36-hole cut with rounds of 69-76, was 2-under for the day and 1 over for the tournament after 10 holes when the third round was suspended due to darkness. Asian Tour News
