Philta Palawan Pawnshop nat’l junior tennis slated Oct. 26

THE SEARCH for the top young tennis prospects culminates with the holding of  the Philta Palawan Pawnshop national junior tennis championships  starting Oct. 26  at Gov. Socrates Tennis Club in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Luzon regionals stalwarts led by Jerome Romualdez, Jacob Martin, Marcus and Miguel del Rosario, Alex Eala, Mia Balce and Maribelle Bangayan will see action in the six-day event which caps a series of tournaments for juniors staged across the country.

Bobby Castro of the sponsoring Palawan Pawnshop said winners in the event may  eventually earn a crack at the national junior team.

“This is the showdown of the best players from each region where he held our series of tournaments,” said Castro.

FEATURED STORIES

Expected to shine are netters from the National Capital Region like Nio Tria, Marcen and Cenon Gonzales, Diego and Julian Dayrit, Alexie Bangayan, and Camile, Mariel, and Mia So.

Cebu and Iloilo legs standouts Jan Godfrey Seno, Cesar and Kristin Salimbangon, Jana Pages, Em Siso, Matthew Crisostomo and Luke and Matthew Flores will banner the Visayas contingent.

The host city will lean on Alexie and Sebastian Santos, and Kryshanna Hitosis.
