UST, Adamson, USLS, La Salle barge into Unigames women’s volley final four
MANILA, Philippines — University of Santo Tomas, and Adamson needed five sets to overcome their opponents Friday to barge into the final four of the 2012 Sandugo Unigames women’s volleyball tournament.
UST barely got past Far Eastern University, 16-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 15-11, while Adamson recovered from a 0-2 deficit to defeat Ateneo, 17-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-14, 15-9.
The lone Visayan squad standing in the semifinals is University of St. La Salle, surviving a hardfought 25-21, 25-22, 27-25 win over Central Philippine University.
Article continues after this advertisementUAAP champion De La Salle University, meanwhile, made short work of University of the Philippines-Diliman, 25-13, 25-12, 25-17.
The Lady Stingers face the Lady Falcons in the semifinals, while the Lady Archers clash with nemesis Tigresses in the other match up.
In the men’s volleyball, Adamson and FEU set up a final four clash while USLS and UST also dispute a ride to the finals of the annual meet.
