DEFENDING champions Nick Davies and Kirsteen Mitchell of Britain headline a stellar field vying for top honors in the 2012 World Cable Wakeboard Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Deca Wakeboard Park in Clark Field, Angeles City.

The two-day event that has lured participants from 32 countries will also feature the Open gold medalists in the recent Tokyo World Cup—Austria’s Angelika Shriber and Germany’s Frederic von Osten.

Wakeboard aces from 32 countries, including Brazil, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Philippines—to be led by Samantha Bermudez, Mark Griffin and Carlo dela Torre—are also joining the competition that starts with the qualifying phase on Nov. 6.
