The women’s Colleges Sports Association (WCSA) recently opened its 11th season with host San Beda College Alabang winning both its opening matches at its homecourt.
San Beda trounced University of Asia & the Pacific, 72-52, and whipped St. Paul University-Manila, three sets to one, in volleyball.
Also posting opening-day victories were Miriam against Enderun, 63-55; and La Consolacion over SPU-QC, 53-31.
Other member schools are St. Scholastica, Assumption and defending basketball, badminton and futsal champion Philippine Women’s U.
Miriam topped volleyball and cheerdance during the 10th season, Assumption was swimming champion and St. Scholastica ruled table tennis.
Meanwhile, the 9th Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA) kicks off Sunday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum. Romina S. Austria
