La Salle-Lipa teams gain Final 4

DE LA SALLE-Lipa put two teams in the semifinal round of the Toby’s Junior Volleyball League at Quorum Sports Arena in Pasig.

DLS-Lipa beat Oranbo Elementary School, 25-12, 25-12; Rafael Palma ES, 25-8, 25-11; and Palanan ES, 25-16, 25-15, to sweep the boys’ seven-team field.  It will be No. 1 versus No. 4 and No. 2 against No. 3 in the semifinals tomorrow of the event sponsored by Toby’s Sports, Shakey’s Pizza and Mikasa and organized by Metro Sports.

Vying for semis slots are Colegio San Agustin (4-2), St. Joseph College (3-1) and Palanan ES (3-2).

DLS-Lipa A also took the first semis seat in girls’ play, besting DLS-Zobel, 25-13, 25-17, and MGC New Life Christian Academy, 25-20, 25-11, and scoring a walkover win over DLS-Canlubang to sweep the four-team Group B.

MGC took the other semis seat by stopping DLS-Zobel, 26-24, 25-16.
