Murray through to quarters in straight sets

MELBOURNE – British third seed Andy Murray reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open with a 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 win over French 14th seed Gilles Simon on Monday.

US Open champion Murray will now play another Frenchman, Jeremy Chardy, in the last eight on Wednesday.
