MANILA, Philippines—Ron Jay Galang powered Adamson past erstwhile unbeaten National University, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 29-27, Wednesday in the UAAP Season 75 men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan city.
Galang posted 29 points, 27 on kills as the Soaring Falcons recovered from a slow start to deal the Bulldogs their first loss in nine starts.
Michael Sudaria backed up Galang’s output with 18 points.
NU’s usual hitters Peter Torres, Reyson Fuentes and Rueben Inaudito were held to single digits.
Torres finished with nine points while team captain Inaudito and Fuentes had seven apiece.
The Falcons, who tied De La Salle in third place at 5-4, won despite committing 50 errors.
The Bulldogs still lead the league with an 8-1 mark, just a win ahead of second-place FEU.
