EIGHT hundred players are vying for prizes worth more than P5 million in the 29th edition of the Mango Tee, the member-guest tournament of the Alabang Country Club starting tomorrow.
The biggest field ever assembled for the Mango Tee, one of the country’s most popular club events, will tee off in separate batches over six days, contending for net and gross awards with their latest handicaps.
The event, presented by Smart Infinity, Petron and Pancake House/Yellow Cab, officially kicked off yesterday with the opening ceremonies where former President Fidel Ramos was the main guest.
He was joined by ACCI president Jojo Gana, ACCI chair Senen Matoto, Mango Tee committee chair Martin Lorenzo, club directors and sponsor representatives.
The Mango Tee Superstore, where the tournament giveaways—P10,000 worth of Mizuno and Taylor Made products—can be claimed with a variety of choices from the giant golfing brands, is being introduced this year.
Major sponsors of the event are BPI Assets, Eurotel, Golforce, The Turf Co., Pepsi, GNC and BJ Marthel while the hole -in-one sponsors are Mitsubishi/Citimotors, Yamaha, The Turf Company/Texas Eagle, Club Car and Mizuno.

Mango Tee teams will also enjoy free brunch during their two playing days and nightly cocktails will offer generous raffle prizes on the first five playing days.
