NCAA: San Beda outlasts Perpetual Help in OT
MANILA, Philippines — San Beda squandered a huge lead but still came away with a 78-76 victory over Perpetual Help in overtime Thursday in the NCAA season 89 men’s basketball tournament.
Baser Amer churned out 21 points and five assists then Art Dela Cruz had 16 markers to pace the Red Lions, who lost a 21-point buffer at the end of third quarter before surviving in OT.
The Red Lions kept the sole control of the top spot with a 12-2 card as the pesky Altas sunk to 11-4.
Nosa Omorgbe, who sent the game into overtime with a stunning triple, finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds for Perpetual Help.
