St. Clare eyes No. 11 vs PSBA

MANILA, Philippines — St. Clare College tries to inch closer to a sweep when it takes on Philippine School of Business Administration Friday in the National Capital Region Athletics Association men’s basketball at Rizal Technological U Gym.

Fortified with new recruits, the Saints eye an 11 straight win at 9 a.m.

La Salle-Dasmariñas (2-7) takes on Emilio Aguinaldo-Cavite (2-7) at 11 a.m., while RTU (4-5) faces defending champion Olivarez College (6-3) at 1 p.m. St. Clare will next take on La Salle-Dasmariñas on Tuesday.

St. Clare president Dr. Ernest Jay Adalem and coach Jinno Manansala made massive additions to the lineup after the Saints lost the Naascu title last year to Centro Escolar.

Among the new acquisitions are Naascu star forward Elmer Managuelod from STI  and guards Jean Acebron and Atan Ibarra.
