MANILA, Philippines—Finally rewarded for the revitalized program it started a few years ago, Far Eastern U completed a UAAP football championship double Sundaywith a sweep of the men and women’s finals at FEU Diliman pitch.

Jess Melliza struck in the 72nd minute as the Tamaraws subdued University of the Philippines, 1-0, in Game 2, capping a glorious day for FEU, which also swept University of Santo Tomas with a 2-1 win in the women’s finals earlier.

FEU is on track of sweeping the three football titles at stake this season with its boys’ high school side also in the finals.
