Vesagas keys La Salle-Zobel title-clincher
MANILA, Philippines — Shan Vesagas scored seven of his team’s last 10 points, including the winning basket, to lead La Salle-Zobel to a pulsating 60-58 victory over Xavier School recently in the International Schools Athletic Association championship game at CSA-Makati gym.
La Salle-Zobel was down six going into the last two minutes of the match, but Vesagas strung up six points to tie the game before working his heroics down the stretch with another scoring binge.
“Both teams played well,” said Vesagas, who finished with a team-best 26 points. “It could go either way.

“But we really worked hard every practice and luckily my shots went in,” he added.
