Baby Falcons advance to Freego Cup quarterfinals
MANILA, Philippines — Adamson clinched a quarterfinal berth while Ateneo bested archrival De La Salle Zobel in the PCABL (Philippine Chinese Amateur Basketball League) 7thFreego Cup held over the weekend at Philippine Buddhacare Academy gym.
The Baby Falcons trounced the San Sebastian College Staglets, 77-59, to join Mapua and Ateneo in the next round. Adamson wound up with a 4-2 card in the eliminations.
Earlier, the Eaglets outlasted the Junior Archers, 81-74, to close out their elimination campaign in Group B at 5-1.

Alfred Sahulga had 26 points for the Junior Archers who dropped their third straight match after a 2-0 start.
In another game, Chiang Kai Shek College drew inspired performances from Fran Yu, Jonas Tibayan and Moh Ascaño to demolish Lyceum, 84-59, and stay unbeaten in five games Group A.
