MANILA, Philippines–Philippine Airlines’ “Run and Fly to New York” fun run kicks off Saturday at Bonifacio Global City as the flag carrier gears up for its much-awaited return to the Big Apple.

The out-and-back races in four distance categories—3K, 5K, 10K and 16K—are organized by PAL and Runrio Inc. and will be fired off starting at 2 a.m. at 34th Street.

Flights to New York are up for grabs for the field of about 2,000 runners, each of whom will be provided with PAL race shirt, singlet, race bib and raffle stub.

Four weekly flights to New York via Vancouver, PAL’s 35th destination, will commence on March 15, the airline’s founding anniversary.

Runners may still register at www.runrio.com for the race, proceeds of which will go to the Anawim Lay Missions Foundation Inc.
