Ravena, Teng lead 16-man Gilas cadet pool for Seaba, SEA Games
MANILA, Philippines—It’s a sweet 16.
National basketball coach Tab Baldwin on Friday released the 16-player cadet pool which, together with naturalized import Marcus Douthit, will represent the Philippines in the next Southeast Asian Basketball Championships and the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.
San Beda’s Baser Amer, Hapee’s Garvo Lanete, Scottie Thompson and Ray Parks, Arellano’s Jiovanni Jalalon, Ateneo’s Kiefer Ravena and Thirdy Ravena, La Salle’s Jeron Teng, and Cebuana Lhuillier’s Almond Vosotros will man the backcourt.
Article continues after this advertisementFar Eastern University’s Mac Belo, University of Santo Tomas’ Kevin Ferrer, National U’s Glenn Khobuntin, La Salle’s Prince Rivero and Arnold Van Opstal, Hapee’s Troy Rosario, Cebuana Lhuiller’s Norbert Torres will join Douthit in the frontcourt.

“The future of Philippine basketball looks very promising,” Baldwin said in a statement.

The Seaba is the qualifying tournament for the Fiba Asia Championship which in turn is the qualifiers for the Olympics.
