Paras to defend Fiba World U18 slamdunk title

TEEN slamdunk champion Kobe Paras reached the finals of the Fiba World under-18 slamdunk competition after topping the two-round eliminations Saturday in Debrecen, Hungary.  The 17-year-old Paras will defend his crown Sunday night (Monday morning in Manila).  The feat came after the 6-foot-5 son of PBA legend Benjie Paras, together with Mike Nieto, Richard Escoto and Ricci Rivero, ended their bid in the Fiba 3×3 U18 World Championship.  The quartet finished fifth in Pool A after two wins and three losses.  J.
