There, James had his hands imprinted in concrete that would be left behind with the tenement community whose basketball court had a larger-than-life image of James emblazoned on it.
“Visited this amazing place in Manila today. An abandoned parking garage that’s been taken over by more than 5,000 displaced family members,” James said in an Instagram photo of the court.

The four-time NBA MVP said that he is honored to have his image imprinted on the Tenement court, a place where some of the residents find solace as they play hoops.
“This basketball court is its heart and soul, and if it weren’t for basketball giving the kids a distraction from the bad influences around them the state would tear it down. Honored to have my likeness grace this space. Until next time Philippines.”

James is in the country for the second time as part of the Nike Rise tour, a program which aims to find underprivileged yet talented kids and provide them proper training to jumpstart their hoops career.
Earlier, James stopped by Nike’s flagship store at Bonifacio High Street to unveil the Philippines colorway of the Nike LeBron 12 Low.
