Teodoro, Pontejos backcourt an asset for Meneses
With an interchangeable backcourt of Tey Teodoro and Paolo Pontejos, Jose Rizal University has two spitfire guards at its luxury.
Teodoro leads the Heavy Bombers in scoring with 16.38 points across 18 games while Pontejos is at second with 14.89.

“Paolo is a good back up to Tey and Tey is also a good backup for Paolo,” Meneses said Friday at San Juan Arena after JRU trumped San Sebastian 91-69.
Meneses added Pontejos has the opportunity to become his own man, and after a struggle of a first round, the 5-foot-7 guard had found his stride.

And Pontejos’ time did arrive.
The Heavy Bombers, at no. 3 with an 12-6 card, is part of this wild chase for the Final Four and he would need to count on his guards to carry his team through.
