Maybe the “fake humility” Ronda Rousey was talking about wasn’t so fake after all.

New UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm came to the defense of the deposed MMA queen and said that critics should back off from Rousey.

In a Skype interview with TMZ Sports, Holm admitted feeling bad for the 28-year-old Rousey after the latter suffered a firestorm from her bashers following the UFC 193 shocker of a defeat.

” “I have a lot of respect for her…I don’t want to give away any bit of my victory. I’d take that I did it dominantly, but that doesn’t mean that I wish harm or any hate on her,” yhe 34-year-old champ said.

“I think people can be pretty brutal. And when you’re on the spot that she’s in, there are people that are just going to jump ship and I don’t ever wish for that.”

The world was stunned on Sunday when Rousey got knocked out with a huge kick to the head from Holm at the 0:59 mark of the second round. The result from Melbourne earned the brash Rousey a lot of criticism, notably from Laila Ali, Lady Gaga, and Floyd Mayweather buddy 50 Cent.

UFC President Dana White has already hinted that a rematch between the two are in play, saying that the bout “makes a lot of sense.”
