Adamson’s Roque escapes injury bug
Adamson’s May Roque got quite a scare after hurting her left knee in the third set of the Lady Falcons’ game against the La Salle Lady Spikers on Sunday.
The sophomore spiker scored on a kill, but fell down after her knee buckled following an awkward landing.
Article continues after this advertisementRoque was stretchered off the court, but she was able to shake off the injury after physical therapists tended to her knee.
“I can manage,” Roque said as she returned to the game in the middle of the third set.
Her return, however, didn’t do much of a difference as Adamson fell in three sets to fall out of the Final Four race.
Article continues after this advertisementStill, Roque could breathe a sigh of relief after avoiding the injury bug that has struck the league as of late with Ateneo’s Maddie Madayag (ACL), La Salle’s Cyd Demecillo (knee) and National University’s Bia General (elbow) all suffering injuries in just a span of one week.
