Pocari Sweat hardly perspired for its third straight win in the Shakey’s V-League Open Conference, leveling Laoag, 25-21, 25-16, 25-17 Saturday at San Juan Arena.

Team captain Michele Gumabao and Myla Pablo had 13 points apiece for the 3-0 Lady Warriors while Elaine Kasilag added 11.

A strong start, however, should not be a reason for the Lady Warriors to drop their guard down.

Assistant coach Rommel Abella said he wants his team not to look too far out and take things one at a time.

“We’re taking this tournament one game at a time and cliché as it may sound pero ganoon talaga ang focus namin ngayon eh,” said Abella. “Kung sino ang kalaban namin doon muna kami nagfo-focus, hindi namin ino-over look kung sino ang makakalaban namin, ‘yun muna ang pinagtutuunan namin ng pansin.”

Pocari Sweat had a decent offensive advantage as the Lady Warriors scored 38 points off spikes while the Power Smashers had 28.

Mylene Paat led Laoag, which sank to 1-2, with 14 points.
