Sports apparel giant Nike celebrated Cleveland Cavaliers’ historic win with a video highlighting the longing and despair of Cleveland fans.
Since the victory of Cleveland Browns in the NFL championship in 1964, no big-time sports victory was bestowed to the state for 52 years.
Article continues after this advertisementIn the video uploaded on video-sharing site YouTube, Cleveland fans started sobbing in shock when their beloved team was proclaimed the National Basketball Association (NBA) champion.
The video was coupled with the caption, “After years of holding its breath, Cleveland can finally breathe easy. They always knew this day would come. They just didn’t know when. A curse broken. A city can rejoice.”
