Amid changes in Adamson, Sarr hopes to see different results

With changes abound for Adamson, Pape Sarr may be the lone one who hasn’t changed.
“I’m the same Pape Sarr,” he said.
But it doesn’t mean that the Cameroonian center isn’t willing to embrace changes.
“I just have to improve some things in my game. I just want to go out and play.”
Sarr has welcomed the improvements in Adamson with open arms, with coach Franz Pumaren steering the wheel for the Soaring Falcons.
Now they just have to translate what they’ve built on in the off-season into winning as the UAAP opens on Sunday.
“I’m so excited to play this season with coach Franz, for what he did for the team until now,” he said. “So far, we’ve got a lot of promise in the team. There’s a lot of changes nowadays, a lot of improvement. We have everything now and we need to win. We have all the things we have to get ready, and we hope that this season will be different.”
Sarr doesn’t want to compare himself to other foreign counterparts from opposing teams, especially La Salle’s Ben Mbala.
“I’m just Pape Sarr. I’m the only one Pape Sarr. I’m special and I don’t need to compare myself to anybody,” he said. “I’m confident with what we do in practice, with my skills and what I can do for my team. I don’t want to compare anything to anyone and everything will be judged on the court.”
