Petron targets semis slot

Suddenly on top of the heap, Petron is looking at securing an outright semifinal slot when it bumps into Cignal today in the Asics-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at FilOil Flying V Centre.

But for Petron coach Shaq Delos Santos, the toughest games are ahead of them.

“Teams are out to win important games and they want to beat the top team in the league to boost their morale,” said Delos Santos.

F2 Logistics takes it turn in whipping hapless Generika in the other game at 5 p.m., preceding the 7 p.m. match between Petron and Cignal.

“We still can’t relax, anything can happen,” said Delos Santos. “Cignal wants to score a big win.”
