Legion run makes Philippine debut next year

A unique 5-kilometer team-oriented obstacle race will make its Philippine debut at Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, on March 4, 2017.

Participants of the Legion Run must hurdle more than 20 obstacles by jumping, climbing and crawling trenches, tunnels, 20-feet high walls and net climbs, among others.

Named after the famous military service branch of the French Army, the Legion Run has been staging races in Europe.

Malaysia will host the first Asian edition in January while the Hong Kong race will be held in March.

“We wanted to bring an obstacle course that will be open to everybody,” said Legion Run founder Tom Lahav during the recent press briefing at Greenfield District in Mandaluyong.
“It is not a race, we don’t even time you. No prizes, no medals, no certificates. It’s a personal challenge.”

Online registration will be accepted until Feb. 24. Fee is pegged at P1,500 until Dec. 15 while the rate for Dec. 16 to Feb. 24 will rise to P2,000.
