2 Gilas foes hire ‘imports’

Don’t be surprised if a foreign player suits up for Thailand and Indonesia in the Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) tournament that the Philippines is hosting.

Thailand will bring either Thai-American Moses Morgan or Tyler Lamb or another naturalized prospect during the Seaba championships at Smart Araneta Coliseum on May 12 to 18.

Indonesia has hired Jamal Johnson as a naturalized player in the tournament where the champion grabs the lone ticket to the Asia Cup in Beirut, Lebanon on Aug. 15 to 27. Gilas Pilipinas, meanwhile, has naturalized center Andray Blatche.
