Mangosong, Reyes rule
Davao City pride Bornok Mangosong capped an amazing series with a victory in the fifth and final leg of the Diamond Motor Corporation Supercross on Saturday at Mx Messiah fairgrounds in Taytay, Rizal.
The 25-year-old never looked back after a furious start to win with plenty to spare in the elite PTT Pro Open Production category.
‘‘The best part of winning is knowing that you have overcome the toughest challenges,” said Mangosong, who also dedicated the win to his future wife Shela Mae, whom he is set to wed on June 18 on Samal Island.
The DC Shoes Ladies Class produced a young winner in 12-year-old Sonnie Quiana Reyes of Bulacan.
The incoming seventh grader at St. Paul Bocaue settled for second spot behind Janelle Saulog but still won overall honors.
