Teng shares credit for astounding numbers to entire Thunder
Despite his eye-popping as his numbers, Jeron Teng’s ultimate goal with Flying V remains the same: to help the Thunder reach greatness in their maiden season in the PBA D-League.
“We really want to maximize our remaining elimination games as much as we can,” he said.

Teng recorded 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists in the rout to become only the second player to record multiple triple-doubles in a conference, following the footsteps of Phoenix’s Mike Tolomia back in the 2016 Aspirants’ Cup.
Coach Eric Altamirano is proud of what his star swingman has accomplished throughout their partnership in Flying V this conference where he has helped Teng become a more well-rounded player in preparation for the big leagues.

Teng, though, has refused to hog the spotlight, sharing the glory with the whole team.
“I have to give credit to my teammates because no matter how good my passes are, if they can’t make it, I can’t get that triple-double. But I think we’re a talented team and anyone can have a breakout game any given day,” he said.
With Flying V already locked in the top seed that comes with the outright semifinals berth, Teng is hopeful that his team won’t be content as they try to nab the title in only their first season.
“It’s a challenge for us to push ourselves to the limit and prove ourselves more in the playoffs,” he said.
The Thunder eye to become only the fourth team in league history to complete an eliminations sweep as they gun for their 10th straight victory against Batangas on Tuesday.
