Defending champs F2 Logistics get campaign going vs Cocolife

Defending champion F2 Logistics and Petron take on separate foes as the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix formally starts Saturday at Sta. Rosa Sports Center.
F2 Logistics will once again bank on its imports—reigning Most Valuable Player MJ Perez and Kennedy Bryan—against Cocolife in the 4 p.m. match.
The Cargo Movers won’t have stalwarts Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron and Dawn Macandili, who are now tied with La Salle in the UAAP.
But Perez and Bryan will have sufficient backups in new recruits Michelle Morente and Lourdes Clemente. Morente jumped ship from Ateneo to La Salle, where she is serving residency.
The 6-foot-1 Clemente saw action for University of Perpetual Help and has played for the national team.
Petron, powered by Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley, will square off with Cignal at 2 p.m.
Opening ceremonies are slated at 1 p.m.
PSL chair Philip Ella Juico, Sta. Rosa City Mayor Dan Fernandez and Cong. Arlene Arcillas-Nazareno will lead the rites marking the start of the season.
The HD Spikers will be coming into the game fresh from a 25-15, 28-26, 25-15 win over the Asset Managers during Saturday’s opening match.
Jeane Horton of United States and Sonja Milanovic of Bosnia starred for Cignal, which tamed Cocolife’s main gunners Sara Klisura of Serbia and Taylor Milton of US.
