Thomas Torres out for six weeks after stabbing incident
Thomas Torres has yet to play a single minute in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League but he’s going to wait six more weeks before he could suit up.
The former La Salle Green Archer sustained stab wounds early Sunday after he, Jeron Teng, and Norbert Torres got into a brawl with middle-aged individuals, one of whom was carrying a ring knife in Bonifacio Global City.

Article continues after this advertisementCharlie Dy, Torres’ agent, said the point guard suffered a tear on his tricep muscles and would need six weeks to recover.
“He’s under observation and his recovery would take a little longer because the tricep muscles were torn apart,” said Dy in Filipino in a text message to Inquirer.

Article continues after this advertisementDy added Torres underwent surgery Sunday morning a few hours after suspects Edmar Manalo, 40, Joseph Varona, 39, and Williard Basili, 38, were arrested.
Torres signed with Mandaluyong El Tigre in the MPBL.
