The 31-year-old Sor Rungvisai went to the body from the opening bell and it took its toll on Diaz in the latter stages of the bout.

But the unheralded Diaz was game and unafraid of the heavy handed Sor Rungvisai and somehow managed to last the distance.

Sor Rungvisai’s win wasn’t the only thing worth celebrating for the Thais.
