NU stays immaculate, FEU enters Final Four in UAAP women’s basketball

National University maintained the league’s longest winning streak across any sport after ripping University of the East apart, 89-59, in the UAAP Season 81 women’s basketball tournament Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The victory extended the Lady Bulldogs’ unbeaten run to 76 and 12 for the current season.

Kaye Pingol had 17 points while Ria Nabalan added 16 points of her own for the defending champions.

Reigning MVP Jack Danielle Animam had a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double to add to the Lady Bulldogs’ cause.

In the other game, Far Eastern University gored University of the Philippines, 80-66, to advance to the Final Four.

Clare Castro had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Tamaraws who improved to a 9-3 card.

The Lady Warriors own a 2-10 slate while the Lady Maroons are at an even more deplorable state of 0-12.
