PBA D-League: RK Ilagan sizzles as Valencia-San Sebastian routs Perpetual
MANILA, Philippines—Valencia City Bukidnon-San Sebastian College moved closer to a playoff berth after ripping University of Perpetual Help, 106-75, in the 2019 PBA D-League Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
RK Ilagan lit up the stat sheets with 27 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and two steals to lead the Golden Harvest.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 22-year-oldwingman fired off 13 points in the Golden Harvest’s blazing 33-point third quarter that saw them take an 81-56 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
“So far, I’ve really watched RK’s maturity blossom,” said San Sebastian head coach Egay Macaraya in Filipino. “It’s not like before when he was purely on offense, now he’s organizing the team.”
Valencia City Bukidnon bumped its record to 5-1 to get to the second seed in the Foundation Group while Perpetual dropped to 1-5.
Article continues after this advertisementAllyn Bulanadi played support for the Golden Harvest with 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks while JM Calma had himself a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.
“Everybody stepped up and showed their character,” said Macaraya.
Jielo Razon led the Altas with 19 points and six rebounds.
