Filipino junior tankers off to strong start in Asian Age Group swimming

Two Filipinos made the finals in their respective events at the start of the 10th Asian Age Group Swimming Championships at Padukone-Dravid Center for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, India.

Jalil Sephraim Taguinod placed second in the preliminary round of the 100m Breast Boys 14 and Under category with a time of 1:09.11 while Mishka Sy clocked 32.16 to finish seventh in the Girls 50m Back event.

Two other Filipino junior tankers, however, failed to advance.

Marcus Johannes De Kam and Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, a junior national record holder, fell short in the 200m Free and 200m IM events, respectively.
