Blazers’ Lillard, McCollum troll Clippers after Game 7 loss
MANILA, Philippines — After all the trash talk, Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers had the final say.
Lillard didn’t pull any punches in clowning the Los Angeles Clippers, who blew a 3-1 lead and got crushed by the Denver Nuggets in Game 7.
Article continues after this advertisementThe beef between Lillard and Clippers could be traced back to last year’s playoffs when the Blazers guard sent then-Oklahoma City forward Paul George home and waved goodbye after hitting a deep series-clinching triple at the buzzer.
George, who was traded to the Clippers in the offseason, called Lillard’s 3-pointer from 35 feet a “bad shot.”

The feud continued when Clippers guard Pat Beverley mocked Lillard for missing two clutch free throws in Los Angeles’ 107-101 win over Portland last month.
The back-and-forth between Lillard and the two Clippers had kept going on social media. The Blazers star called the Clippers “chumps” while Beverley implied an early Blazers exit with a “Cancun on 3″ comment.
The Blazers got bounced by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs in five games but it didn’t take long for Lillard to clap back just shortly after the Clippers’ collapse.
Lillard tagged Beverley in a tweet and mocked the Clippers guard by extending a “Cancun invite.”
@patbev21 I guess I should extend this Cancun invite since I haven’t made my arrangements yet 😂😂😂

And as always, Portland’s other star guard CJ McCollum — who had a field day tweeting about the Clippers’ woes during the game— had Lillard’s back.

“If they fly private they can get into Mexico for sure. Should probably get the big jet,” McCollum tweeted.
