“People from Philippines, all love. Thank you for all your support,” Marjanovic said in a video.
But while it was all fun after the game, Marjanovic was a menace against Gilas Pilipinas, which had no answer for him especially when it mattered most.
With Gilas hanging tough with the fifth-best team in the world, Serbia leaned on Marjanovic down the stretch to survive a gritty stand by the young Filipinos.
Marjanovic finished with 25 points, including key baskets late, and 10 rebounds.
