Holiday blowout: Magnolia whips Ginebra on Christmas
MANILA, Philippines—Magnolia gave Barangay Ginebra a holiday beatdown, 117-94, to stay perfect in the 2021 PBA Governors’ Cup Saturday night at Araneta Coliseum.
Mike Harris set the tone, scoring 13 of his game-high 29 points in the opening period. He had 17 at the half where the Hotshots blew the game wide open, 61-42.

The game also saw the careers of beloved Magnolia legends Marc Pingris and PJ Simon celebrated with the franchise holding a jersey retirement ceremony for the two during halftime.
The Hotshots, who improved to 3-0, climbed to first place in the standings after the NLEX Road Warriors slipped to 4-1 following a loss to the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the other Christmas Day matchup.

Brownlee finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Aguilar tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds.
