Barako Bull stirred to its first win by Peterson’s 33 points
MANILA, Philippines—Import Jamine Peterson scattered 33 points and Barako Bull snared its maiden victory in the 2012 PBA Governors Cup after downing Powerade, 106-101, Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Peterson, who also had 22 rebounds, though, only scored six points in the second half but scored on a slam with 17.4 ticks left to ice the game.
“He overexerted himself in the first half, so he was complaining about cramps,” said Barako Bull head coach Junel Baculi. “But I think he want to show something, and I hope he sustain what he’s doing.”

Blue-chip import Rashad Mccants had a subpar output of 23 points and 10 rebounds but his three straight triples inched Powerade closer down the stretch.
But it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback as the Tigers dropped their second assignment in as many games.
