Eumir Marcial training with Tyson Fury’s cornerman in Las Vegas
MANILA, Philippines—Filipino slugger Eumir Marcial doesn’t have an official fight lined up yet, but he’s in no way taking a breather.
Marcial is in Las Vegas and is training with coach Jorge Capetillo at the Mexican trainer’s namesake gym.

Although Fury, who now holds the Ring Magazine and WBC heavyweight titles, needed 47 stitches on the cut above his right eye, Capetillo managed to keep the wound closed during the bout.
Article continues after this advertisementMarcial posted a video on his Instagram working the mitts with Capetillo on Wednesday.
Capetillo also posted on Instagram a photo of him together with Marcial, former WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt, MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons, and Filipino pugilist Jonas Sultan.
“Two nations, one team under God,” wrote Capetillo, who trains Berchelt and former two-division champion Luis Nery.
Marcial last fought professionally in December 2020 when he scored an unanimous decision win Andrew Whitfield but has since collected the middleweight bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He is also expected to suit up in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
