RJ Abarrientos’ Ulsan, Ethan Alvano’s Wonju lose in KBL
MANILA, Philippines—RJ Abarrientos’ team Ulsan and Ethan Alvano’s Wonju both suffered losses in the Korean Basketball League on Thursday.
Abarrientos and the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus fell to the Seoul SK Knights, 92-90, at Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium.
Article continues after this advertisementAlvano and Wonju DB Promy also absorbed an 88-78 setback at the hands of Suwon KT Sonicboom at Suwon KT Arena.
The 22-year-old Abarrientos registered 13 points, three rebounds and six assists in the loss. Gauge Prim led Ulsan with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Seoul was anchored by Choi Jun-yong’s 19 points and six rebounds.
Alvano, who has been a consistent contributor for Wonju, struggled with only three points, two rebounds and one assist.

Mobis Phoebus slipped to 8-5 for third place while DB Promy dropped to 6-8 for seventh in the standings.
