Devin Vassell made two straight mid-range jumpers — including the go-ahead shot with 1:13 left in the fourth quarter — leading the lowly San Antonio Spurs to a 115-111 win over the host Miami Heat on Saturday night.

With the Spurs leading 113-111, the Heat went for the potential win on their final possession and missed two straight 3-pointers by Tyler Herro and by Caleb Martin.

Miami led for most of the third quarter, but ex-Heat wing Josh Richardson made a 3-pointer with 36 seconds left to give the Spurs an 86-84 advantage heading into the fourth. Herro led all third-quarter scorers with 12 points as he made 4-for-5 from deep.

The game was tight throughout the fourth quarter until Vassell made his pair of jumpers in the final two minutes.
