PBA: Robbie Herndon ready to take on bigger role with NLEX Road Warriors
Robbie Herndon is excited about the possibility of having a prominent part in the rotation now that he’s with NLEX after being left out in the free agent pool by San Miguel Beer.
“I see myself having a bigger role here,” Herndon said after making his Road Warriors debut Wednesday in the PBA On Tour against the Meralco Bolts at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

He played almost 24 minutes which was a rarity during his three-conference stint with San Miguel where he was part of the run to the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup title.
The highlight of his short stay was the clutch shots he made during Game 3 of the Philippine Cup Finals which saw the Beermen defeating the TNT Tropang Giga in overtime.

“It’s no secret that San Miguel has a stacked team, right?” Herndon said. “I wish all the best to my brothers out there. I love them and made lifelong friends and I’m blessed to be part of that.”
What Herndon hopes is a reprisal of what he enjoyed while playing for Alaska from 2019 to 2022 as one of the key members on the roster.
“I see myself having that same role when I was one of the main players with Alaska,” said Herndon.
“As a player, that’s exciting, right? I just want to continue building chemistry and learn how each player plays,” Herndon added.
