UAAP: Bella Belen says NU played with more pressure in loss
MANILA, Philippines — Bella Belen admitted that top seed National University felt more pressured than Far Eastern University despite having a twice-to-beat edge in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Final Four.
“For me, kanina masyadong tense yung laro, parang yung pressure napunta sa amin. Ni-remind ko kanina yung teammates ko nung set 2 na hindi kami dapat ang nape-pressure kasi yung FEU pag natalo namin sila dito, laglag na sila so yung pressure nasa kanila. Pero parang ang ending po, yung pressure napunta sa amin,” said Belen after a tough 25-23, 25-17, 25-23 loss to No. 4 FEU on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
UAAP: No shortage of inspiration for Tagaod in leading FEU to victory
MANILA, Philippines — Chenie Tagaod drew inspiration from Choco Mucho’s breakthrough win over Creamline in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference as she led Far Eastern University’s straight-set stunner over National University to force a decider in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Final Four on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Tagaod led the Lady Tamaraws’ collective effort to end the No. 1 Lady Bulldogs’ seven-game winning streak, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23, and inch a win closer to the Finals.
UAAP: FEU proves status as legit title threat with win over NU
MANILA, Philippines — The Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws proved that they are more than just a darkhorse contender after stunning the top-seeded National University Lady Bulldogs in straight sets to inch closer to the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Finals.
FEU stayed true to its promise that it won’t be contented with just a Final Four comeback, dominating NU, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23, to force a do-or-die Final Four match on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

UAAP: NU Bulldogs survive La Salle for Final Four edge
MANILA, Philippines — Buds Buddin took the matter into his own hands as he unleashed a career-high 32 points including the finishing blows to secure National University’s twice-to-beat bonus after surviving gritty La Salle, 19-25, 25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 16-14, in the UAAP Season 86 men’s volleyball playoff on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Determined to close out the game, Buddin asked for the ball from Owa Retamar and accounted for the Bulldogs’ last three points to fend off the Green Spikers, who they will meet again in the Final Four on Wednesday at the same venue.

UAAP volleyball: No. 1 NU takes on fourth-ranked FEU
MANILA, Philippines–National University (NU) had made its intentions known as early as the time when it knew which team it will face in the Final Four.
The top-ranked Lady Bulldogs essentially said that they wouldn’t want their series against No. 4 Far Eastern University going the full two-game route, saying that not only because they want to, but because they have the game to back it up.
