MANILA,  Philippines—In hopes of helping Beau Belga fully recover from his lingering bout with vertigo, Rain or Shine decided to slide him to the PBA unrestricted free agent list.

Last week, the Elasto Painters pulled Belga out of the team’s lineup for the PBA Philippine Cup after his condition took a scary turn in the squad’s last game.

Belga was visibly affected in Rain or Shine’s loss to TNT in Antipolo. At one point during the game, Belga fell and stayed down before being helped back to the locker room. He was then assisted out of the Ynares Sports Center.

Belga’s issue with vertigo began at the beginning of the all-Filipino conference. It also led him to miss the team’s first four games.

After playing just three games, though, it was getting obvious that Belga wasn’t fit to play heavy minutes as he even started to wear goggles to help correct his vision.

In place of Belga in the lineup, Nick Demusis was reactivated by the Elasto Painters.

In tonight’s bout between the Elasto Painters and Phoenix, expect Belga to miss action and be on the sidelines with coach Yeng Guiao and company.
