SC stops tax court from collecting P3-B cash bond from Pacquiao couple

The Supreme Court stopped the Court of Tax Appeals from collecting P3 billion cash bond to P4 billion surety bond from boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee in exchange for lifting of warrant of distraint and levy and garnishment by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Pacquiao couple asks SC to stop tax court from collecting P3B cash bond

Boxing superstar and Saranggani Representative Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and his wife, Jinkee, asked the Supreme Court to reverse the resolution of the Court of Tax Appeals ordering them to post over P3 billion cash bond or almost P5 billion surety bond, which was issued after they sought to stop the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) from collecting P2-billion taxes from them.
