MANILA, Philippines—Philippines’ PLDT Home TVolution fell to a superior Hisamitsu Springs Japan side to bow out of the Asian Women’s Volleyball Club championship Wednesday in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

The Power Pinays reeled to a 7-25, 13-25, 12-25 setback in the quarterfinals after they were unable to match the Japanese’ firepower.

Japan leaned on 40 attacks compared to the Philippines’ 18 to enter the semifinals of the annual competition.
